I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Day 154 (August 12) - Say It One More Time?

I know I say this about all my photos, but I really love this one. The expression on her face, the framing by the shoulders, how you can only see one eye of the kids on either side of her . . . I'm in love.

Until I take the next shot that I like even more. I'm fickle that way.

  1. This is so classic! Composition is great, and I totally relate to her and that look on her face, having struggled my way through a few foreign languages.

  2. Awww...... what a cute picture. It's interesting to look at sites like this, and even the photography website that Stephen Dent made. I enjoy it all.

  4. I like the idea, but the framing is a bit loose. I would crop down to the child on the right's eye from the left. maybe. And it's a bit over exposed. Try burning down the highlights on the left, too. Good idea though.

  5. Hey Anonymous, I appreciate the feedback, but I'm not sure exactly what crop you're suggesting. Do you want me to crop down from the top (a rather substantial crop) or from the left (almost no crop at all, as far as I understand).

Obviously, since it's my photo, I like it as is. And I chose for it to be a little bit lighter than perhaps your average exposure.

    But thanks for the comment!
