Frankly, she's any photographer's dream subject, but it's important to note that even someone as inherently photogenic as Jannine started out feeling a little leery in front of the camera. I totally sympathize; I am the worst photographic subject ever because the whole time I feel like micromanaging whoever is taking the picture. Evan can totally attest to this.
But we started out by talking about the kind of portraits she liked, what styles she thought seemed more like her, and then we got into it. And after the first few minutes the awkwardness melts away. It's part of any portrait session. Getting comfortable. Trusting the photographer. Sometimes it happens faster, sometimes you have to ease into it. But once you get there, it's golden.
Many, many thanks to Jannine for making it so easy on me.
And then we raided her closet for a skirt and played with some motion.
Thanks so much J! You are super cool. You know it.
