I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

More Film! I haven't forgotten about it!

I know it's been a while since I posted any film shots. Yes, I may have slowed down a bit, but don't worry, I haven't stopped. Nothing like it, in fact.

No matter what, there's still something about film. It just looks a certain way. Different. Not better, no. Not sharper, no way. But a little more romantic, perhaps? A little less precise. Less digital.

Well, ha! What a valuable conclusion! Film is less digital than digital. You heard it here first!

Chief among the things I can't seem to stop shooting this summer is fruit. Witness the bounty of cherries and blackberries here.

The cats were intrigued by the fruit, but ultimately unimpressed.

One thing about shooting film though: you can't change your ISO until the end of the roll, and 160 gets slow pretty fast. This shot of Chee was taken at a not-quite-fast enough 1/30 of a second.

Alcatraz.

Ghirardelli Square. This was a beautiful evening. A group of friends and I walked from downtown San Francisco to Greens in the Marina district. It was a lovely walk.

Argenta. She's been a good friend for a long time, and she just got married this past weekend.

This light was just unreal, how beautiful it was. I wish I had taken more photos, but I only grabbed this one.

More film next week Friday! I promise. Come and take a look.
