I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Nikki - San Francisco Author Photo Session

So I know I introduced you all to Nikki the other day, but I just couldn't let you go without showing you a few more images from our fun session.

As I said, Nikki was looking for an author photo for her new book (which I will totally link to once it's available for preorder), and she was really drawn to this photo I had taken of her friend Marin on film a few months ago. Here's that photo.

So we started off at Four Barrel Coffee on a Saturday afternoon, where I was really excited to shoot because they have huge windows, great coffee, and big wood slab tables. The only tricky part was that everyone else had the same idea (minus the photography part) so it was jam packed. All the tables and seats were taken, and easily 15 people were just sort of standing around waiting for a seat.

Also, it looked like rain.

So you can imagine what I did. I panicked. Well, maybe for about a minute. But the rain held off, and we just shot outside, and through the window, and then we went and walked around the Mission District looking for good backgrounds. And we found them.

In the end, it was a great session

I just absolutely love this one.

(See the bracelet on her wrist?)

Such a great smile!

Nikki, you have the most gorgeous eyes. I'm sure you've heard that before.

And a couple of black and whites to finish.

Nikki, thanks so much for all your patience with me and your willingness to do whatever cockamamie idea I had at the time! I can't wait to read your book, and then check the back cover. :)
