I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Film Friday - More Expired Film

A few shots of expired Portra 160 NC. They turned out better than I had hoped, actually. Definitely better than that expired TMAX from last time.

Looking for Montreal photos? Those are coming. Next week, I promise. I just happened to scan this roll first.

Father Felix - San Francisco Portrait Photographer

A few photographs from a portrait session a few weeks ago. I'm trying to be better about blogging my sessions - I have so many that I haven't shared here. I'm going to try to get caught up in the next couple of months!

Thanks Felix, it was great meeting you!

Happy Caturday - Non Orange Cat Edition

Since I figure you probably had your fill of orange cats last week, this week is all about cats that are not even a little bit orange. But they are cute, fluffy, and a little mischievous. Enjoy.

Film Friday - Montreal, Part 1

One of the things I always forget to take into account when considering film is how much time it really takes me to scan it all. So even though I've been back from Montreal for two weeks now, I've only managed to scan one roll from the trip.

So there will definitely be another blog post next week, that's what I'm saying. These are a few photos from the old port, a really lovely part of the city. While we were there the weather was just perfect - 75 to 80 degrees and balmy the whole time. It was lovely.

Next week, part two!

Will and Angie - Stern Grove Wedding Photography

It was that most impossible to predict of things: a sunny San Francisco summer day. Will and Angie had resigned themselves to whatever kind of weather they might get: fog, clouds, drizzle, they didn't care. The important thing was to have an amazing day.

And have an amazing day they did, but with a special guest, the sun! It was a gorgeous warm day that turned into a lovely balmy evening in Stern Grove. And Will and Angie got married under redwoods among family and good friends.

One of my favorite things about Will and Angie was their laid-back attitude before the wedding and during it. Everything ran smoothly - we were ahead of schedule for much of the day! But even if it hadn't, I knew they would encounter any blip with grace and equanimity. Angie had her priorities straight as well - rather than spend a ton of time getting ready, she stayed home and watched the Colombia vs Uruguay World Cup match, and Colombia won! Talk about a good omen.

I just loved her dress and her veil. Timeless elegance.

Meanwhile, the guys enjoyed a shot of liquid courage before things got started.

And then it was time for the ceremony.

And a little post-ceremony relaxation.

I just love the way they are with each other. So sweet.

Will and Angie, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding. It was a true honor. I know you'll have a long and happy marriage together!
