I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

“Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow." – Imogen Cunningham

“A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it.” – Edward Steichen

Frozen landscape

I know it's summer, but in San Francisco you'd be hard pressed to tell the past few days. It's been rainy, foggy, and grey since Sunday, and so this image doesn't feel quite as out of place as perhaps it should. I was playing around in my trial version of Lightroom 5, and I started doing a few black and white conversions of images I hadn't loved in color. This one suddenly turned into a keeper!

Recently I feel like I've found myself wanting everything in color. And for most of my work, I think that's appropriate. But from time to time, it's good to play with monochromatic compositions. I'll try to keep that in mind.
