A few more film shots from my trip to Morocco. On our second day we drove to Meknes and then to Volubilis, a gorgeous Roman ruin nestled in the hills near Moulay Idriss.
One of the Moroccan kings used to keep 400 horses in among these archways. More than one for every day of the year!
Demolition Square in Meknes.
And then we arrived at Volubilis.
The guy in the burgundy djellaba was our guide. He was pretty cool. He had taught himself English just by speaking to tourists, although it was still pretty patchy, and his French was great, as is usually the case in Morocco.
That's not the end of the Morocco photos, at least one more installment is coming!
