I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Film on a Monday

I had meant to put this up on Friday, but I suppose it's equally as good to start a week with film as it is to end one with it.

I have to admit that I'm not totally sure what film this is any more. I think it's Portra 160. But it may be Fuji 160S instead. Anyway, it's definitely color film. :)

I don't know if I've mentioned it recently, but I love lavender. Photographing it, smelling it, even eating the edible variety in fancy baked goods. I love putting a few drops of lavender oil on my pulse points. It's just so good in every way.

This Japanese maple begged me to photograph it backlit. What could I do but comply?

More lavender. Like I said, I love it. And there's something about soft purple and green that just goes amazingly well together.

And there's something about the quality of light in this last photograph that digital just wouldn't have been able to capture in the same way. Highlights are much yummier on film. Take my word for it. :)

Happy Monday!
