Yesterday we had a mother's day celebration at school. No classes, we just played games all day with the kids. One of the games involved shooting baby powder at them, this is one of the results. Isn't he great?

Fabulous!! Great portriat- subject and photography!
ReplyDeleteNice job of capturing the moment with what appears to be a very long telephoto lens and a very narrow depth of field.

Actually, it's my 50mm f1.8 wide open (translates to about 80mm on my crop sensor camera).
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, at 1.8, the depth of field is pretty narrow. With fast moving kids, you just have to autofocus and pray with an aperture like that.
Autofocus? I am disappointed. I thought it was manual...

Sorry to disappoint . . . when chasing kids around with the camera I'd choose AF any day. Flowers and buildings will wait for you to focus, children won't. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said about auto focus and kids. I have take thouands of photos of my granddaughter and she is always on the go. The best pics are the ones you getfrom a pur of the moment shot. Also my dogs and horses are completely autofocus. They are always o the go also. Nice job with all the pics I have seen so far. Keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteMy keys are sticking on my keyboard, time to get a new one. Pur should have been spur, and o should have been on.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Jessica!
