I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

F Line

As you may or may not know, the F line trams go along Market Street and then along the wharves, stopping at such useful tourist destinations as Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. It is often filled with a mix of tourists and locals. At the other end of the line, they stop in the Castro.

In addition, the fleet of trains come from all over the world. You never know when you will step onto one that came from Milan, or from Zurich, not to mention many cities in the US. To see a full list of the trains, click here. They even have a blog about the F line and trains in San Francisco, it's pretty cute.

Oh, and if you celebrate it, Happy Easter!

  1. To me, this looks like a failed attempt at panning.
Was your intent to have both the background the the train out of focus?
Also, did you manage to get a shot with the train in focus? If so I would be really interested in seeing it.

  2. It makes me feel like I am traveling the speed of light..very cool and innovative! Happy Easter to you to Jessica!!

  3. I saw these in SF last summer and was intrigued. Glad to see your shot of one. I don't know what it is about streetcars, but they are very appealing. It kills me that Ottawa no longer has them. They were abandoned in 1959 - a relatively short time ago, really.

  4. This is a great action shot, full of color and motion.

  5. This takes me back to San Francisco - I loved those trains!

  6. I like the sense of motion from foreground to background here. I also like the bright colors that bring the image together.

  7. That was a close call, never saw it coming!!

I love comments! I read and cherish every single one. Go ahead, make my day.
