Blogging Ennui
Also, and I have no idea why, there haven't been many comments lately. Probably this is because all of you have lives too! But sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself. I know people are reading the blog, (Google Analytics is a great way to track your blog traffic, if you aren't already doing so), but the commenting numbers are down. I know I don't mention it a lot, and I don't reply to comments nearly as often as I should, but I do really appreciate every single comment, and I visit all of your blogs too. I know who you are. And I thank you for coming back to read my inane ramblings every day.
Anyway, to thank you for reading this far into my musings, here is a video you HAVE to watch. No exceptions. I guarantee you will absolutely love it. I would die to produce something even half as amazing. And it's shot on Canon DSLRs and Red cameras. Nice. Here's the link. And since you're going to want more after you watch it, here's a making of video as well.

Jessica,
ReplyDeleteNever stop your insane ramblings. I enjoy them a lot. I usually check your blog everyday. It's number 2 on a list of bookmarks I check daily. By the way if you enjoy videos like that and the "behind the scenes" check out fstoppers.com, it's all about BTS videos.

Ah, I know the feeling, I think people go through phases with blogs sometimes though, quite a few drift away altogether and there are definitely quieter times of the year when people just have other priorities. It's a hobby. No one will pay you for it, so just do it when the urge grabs you, ie do it for yourself - that'd be my advice anyway.
ReplyDeleteKevin, thanks so much for your support. Sorry I've been pretty much MIA on Facebook. I think you're pretty amazing for keeping up with it all. Will definitely check out fstoppers.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've got to ask, where's the first place you go? :-)
Niamh, I'm not likely to stop blogging any time soon, I just might half ass it a bit more if I get discouraged . . . but I think I can keep it up.
Let's see if I got this right. One person thinks your insane, another thinks you are bored. If you lived in snow country I might think you have cabin fever. As Niamh said, blog when you want to, we will still visit and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteJess, posting comments does seem to come in cycles and it has been slow for me as well. Fear not, keep posting great shots and they will come.
ReplyDeleteI like this shot but wish, at least, the first vertical row of pix were a little more in focus. Still intriguing and worthy of posting.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI came across your blog when you commented on 'Darwin Wiggett's' website. As a fellow photographer and blogger I enjoy occasionally reading 'Quotidian Photography'.
If you are interested here is the link to my photography website and blog.
