I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Looking Back - 2011 Pets and Other Animals

It's no secret that I love shooting animals.

Wait, that came out a bit wrong.

As a card-carrying vegetarian (yes, I have a card. Ask me to see it some time . . .) I feel like I'm almost obligated to tell the story of our furred and feathered friends. Well, yeah, maybe. Mostly I just find animals fascinating and just so darn photogenic I can't help myself.

Yes, about 50% of these are just shots of my own cats. What can I say? They're just so stinking cute and I'm only human. The other 50% are shelter cats, some random animals I found on my travels (I'm talking about you, Squiggles!), some wild animals from zoos, safari parks and such . . . .

Whatever their provenance, thanks to the animals for always reminding me what's important: food, a warm bed, a good nap, and looking good. :)

Come back tomorrow to see my top ten images of 2011 (non-person and non-animal). Before you see them if you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. As always, thanks for your feedback and support!
