I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Happy Raturday!

Some little ratties for you today. If you don't like rats, you probably should go visit another site for today. We'll be rat free for the rest of the week, I promise, and next Saturday we'll be back to our regularly scheduled program of cats and kittens.

However, today: rats. Lots of them. Thirteen, to be precise.

These three sisters were super sweet and curious, their little pink noses going a mile a minute.

Noses!

And this sweet guy's name was Sherlock. He was calm and nice, ready to hang out.

These ladies were feisty and fun as well . . .

Rat pile!

Home Sweet Home.

Rat sandwich!

Film Friday - Some Refreshment

Just one for you today, as I haven't gotten my most recent film developed yet. But I thought a nice cold drink after a busy week might be just the ticket anyway.

Winny and Terry Part One - A San Francisco Giants Themed Engagement Session

Let me introduce you to Winny and Terry, Giants fans. Also? Big fans of each other. They share a love of the Giants, their dog Teddy, good food and good company, and they both have a great, quiet sense of humor. Also, Terry proposed to her in Paris. That, my friends, is a definite win.

And they look darn good in orange and black.

Thanks guys! I loved taking these photographs. And I can't wait to show you all part two, which is coming soon!

Kittens for Caturday

Is there anything better than a box full of kittens? If there is, I can't think of it. Everything's better with kittens. And these ones were incredible: a dark smoky gray with almost hidden stripes. I have this fantasy of one person adopting all three kittens and then just having a home with three gorgeous gray beasts prowling around it for the next 20 years. Please, someone, make this come true. Separately they're still beautiful, of course, but together they're jaw-dropping.

Kittens, of course, being what they are, wriggly little things, we actually didn't get a great picture of all three of them together, but I know you're creative enough to imagine it.

Kitten tongue!

Kitten belly!

More kitten belly.

And then there was this dude, a total lover, strangely named Chris Rock. He'd headbutt your hand if you stopped petting him.

And darling little Emma. Petite, and perfect. Such a pretty face.

Kitten paw!

And this long-haired duo, who I also hope get adopted together. Such a great contrast!

And last but not least, Jinx, who looked like her face was spray painted one side at a time by someone using a ruler. Tell me, have you ever seen a cat like this before?

Even her nose is perfectly divided in two.

Film Friday - Santa Barbara in Black and White

A few more photos from Santa Barbara, this time in black and white. One roll of Ilford HP5 Plus, and one of Ilford Delta 3200.

From a recent session . . .

More to come soon!
