I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

“A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it.” – Edward Steichen

Waiting

Waiting, originally uploaded by quotidian photography.

Another shot from the Empire State Building with the Lensbaby Fisheye Optic. The only problem with the Lensbaby is that it's manual focus only, and I'm often not sure if the focus is spot on based on what I see in the viewfinder.

My solution? Live View. I use the 10x magnification available in Live View to make sure that the image is perfectly focused, and then I take the shot. A little time intensive, but better than guessing if the image is sharp or blurry.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the fisheye. It's a fun little toy.
