I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Pinnacle

Originally meant for mooring dirigibles (blimps) the pinnacle of the Empire State Building had to be scrapped for that purpose as the updraft created by the building itself caused the mooring process to be too fraught with danger.

So now it just looks cool.

  2. You're right it is cool. It's hard to believe that is something almost 80 years old. It looks like it's from the future. Great shot.

  6. Mattafoto, yep, those stars are real! Can't see many of them with all the light pollution in Manhattan, but these ones were kind enough to show up in the picture.

I thought they were kind of cool too.
