I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Please peruse the blog to your heart's content, then check out my website and feel free to contact me! (I love hearing from you.)

Film Friday - Ranunculus

I've always loved the tightly packed petals of ranunculus, and the soft colors it comes in.

In film time it's like I shot these just yesterday, but in real life it's certainly been a few months, as ranunculus are no longer in season.

Somehow they just fit with the film aesthetic - soft and graceful. I love the way film goes out of focus, the 'bokeh' if you will. It's not the lens, because lenses look different than they do on my digital bodies. Softer in general, but specifically in the out of focus areas.

Happy Friday! I hope you're off for a long and relaxing weekend, doing nothing of more substance than frolicking out somewhere were it's beautiful.
