I'm so glad you found me! I'm a San Francisco photographer, and this blog charts my journey in the ever-evolving world of photography. One of the things I love about photography is that it's a journey, not a destination. I'm constantly learning and meeting wonderful people. Kao San Road

A view from a couple months ago, of Kao San Road in Bangkok (the backpacker's area, although it's also so much more than that).

I just love the way that this photo encapsulates what it's all about: spectacle, bright lights, and then this meeting of many cultures through nightlife. If you get a chance, stop by. It's an area that's definitely worth checking out.

  1. What a great street scene - I wish I could stop by! :) The lights and all the people and their dress sets up for a perfect night scene for these young people...you can feel the excitement of a night out...

  3. Looks like a fun, happening, busy, exciting kind of place. The kind of place and old guy like me would really look out of place at. But I would probably enjoy it anyway.

    Nice Shot.

  4. I love the expressions of the couple front and center the most. A wonderful slice of life that I would love to see.

  5. Jessica! I have in my mind a rather old-fashioned image of Bangkok, I guess. It certainly did not include young people in this sort of dress. Of course, we do not see this kind of dress in the area where we live either! lol

Nice bright shot - however shocking. The girl in the forefront at least looks like she might be modest by trying to cover her chest. But it isn't her chest which is all that exposed!
